Eligibility: Must be an accounting major. If you are interested in participating, please RSVP HERE no later than Sunday, March 14, 2021! Please do not hesitate to contact Jennifer Lee at jlee@pensionassurance.com for any questions or additional information! The UAS Board is very excited to announce that we will be holding our annual "The UAS Factor" this year! The UAS Factor, previously known as our annual Talent Show, is an opportunity for students to showcase their unique talents and win large cash prizes! Previous performances have featured singing, dancing, instruments, magic tricks, comedy acts, and more. Individual and group submissions are both welcome, as long as one performer is an Economics/Accounting major, and everyone is a UCSB student. Our acts will also get the opportunity to impress UCSB accounting professors and Big 4 recruiters, who will serve as the celebrity judge panel! The UAS Factor will take place virtually on Thursday, April 22nd from 7 - 9 PM PST. Students will not be performing live; instead they will submit their performance video (3-5 minutes long) in advance of the event. The UAS Board is now accepting audition videos, which must be around one minute long and linked in this application form by Thursday, March 11th, 2021. Acceptances will be emailed out shortly after, and if selected, your performance video would be due Friday, April 2nd. And now, the part you've been waiting for— the prizes! The 1st place act will win a $1000 cash prize, 2nd place will win $750, 3rd place will win $500, 4th place & 5th place will each win $250, and there are other prizes for performing! The celebrity judge panel will be judging on the livestream itself, and there will be a "Fan Favorite" component as well where the audience will get 50% of the vote. Again, the audition deadline is Thursday, March 11th at 11:59 pm and you can apply here. We look forward to seeing your audition videos! |
