Conditions for Candidacy Read in its entirety; candidates who do not meet all the conditions will be immediately disqualified. 1. Candidates must be a pre-Economics and Accounting major or in the major already. 2. Candidates must be able to serve the full term. Students studying abroad, UCDC/UCCS, or taking a leave of absence will not be considered. 3. Candidates must be in good academic standing with the University. 4. Candidates must be available to attend all major events, weekly Tuesday meetings (usually 6:30pm with set up at 6:00pm), Board meetings, and ad-hoc events. Available Executive Board Positions
Please read each description carefully as the roles and responsibilities for some positions have changed.
President - presides at general meetings and oversees all activities.
Vice President of Internal Affairs - coordinates weekly meetings, including guest speaker arrangements and food; acts as President in the event that the President is unable to do so.
Vice President of External Affairs - organizes the Fall and Winter Gauntlets; plans events sponsored by firms, workshops for members, and events occurring outside of weekly meetings.
Vice President of Communications** - maintains the website, Instagram, other social media platforms; produces advertisements for upcoming events; communicates with students regarding upcoming meetings and events via email.
Vice President of Finance - responsible for the safekeeping and recording of the Society's monies.
Vice President of Marketing and Social Engagement- communicates with professors and departments to market upcoming events externally; makes classroom announcements. Also in charge of organizing the Annual Accounting Awards Banquet; organizes and promotes the social events and explores presenting new, additional social events to encourage inclusion and fellowship for UAS members.
Committee Member - assists the Executive Board with various events and matters that take place throughout the year.
