UCSB VITA will be recruiting for volunteers and new officers for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a great way for all of you to earn some volunteer hours and get some real-life experience in tax services.
__________________________ Volunteers: All volunteers are expected to pass the Advanced Exam on Link and Learn website: https://apps.irs.gov/app/vita/ Please send all three certificates (Advanced Certification Test, Volunteer Standards of Conduct Test, Intake/Interview and Quality Review Test) to [email protected] by January 20th, 2020. Then please register on the United Way VITA site as a tax preparer: https://unitedwaysb.galaxydigital.com/aem/general/event/?doc_id=5329 Welcome to VITA! We will send out the sign-up forms for volunteer shifts as soon as we got your certificates. New officer candidates: (must have at least one-year experience with VITA) We're looking for students that enjoyed working with us during the tax season and would like to become more involved with our organization. This is an amazing leadership opportunity but a serious time commitment, as you be taking a proactive role in the organization.
