Next Month on November 10th, at 6:00 PM the SEC will be holding an Investor Education Event at UCSB's Multicultural Center Theatre. For those who cannot attend in person, a zoom or Webex link will be sent out shortly.  GHJ is going to hold an info session on December 2nd, from 9:00am to 10:00am via zoom. Looking to crack complex business issues with data-driven ideas and the power of technology? Now is your chance to fire up your synapses and solve the problems of tomorrow using the power of your business, technology, and data and analytics knowledge. UCSB is one of 30 schools chosen to participate in KPMG’s Ideation Challenge (KIC)! As one of the universities selected to participate, UCSB students will compete head-to-head against some of the brightest students across the country. This competition has you working in a team to solve real-world problems the professional services industry is facing today. You will need to leverage various skillsets to generate a solution to our challenge prompt and present your solution to a panel of judges. The competition will start with a local round, followed by a virtual semi-final round and then the top 5 teams in the U.S. will be invited to an in-person final round at KPMG Lakehouse. The winning U.S. team will be invited to our in-person Global Advantage program taking place internationally in June! Review the student team eligibility requirements below to start creating a team to compete in the competition. Once you have a team created, you need to register your team (only one team member needs to submit) by Friday, October 28th. HG Insights is looking for a Staff Accountant to support general accounting operations and payroll. You will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including direct support for Accounts Payable, month end close, account reconciliations and audits/tax filings. This role reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager and contributes to HG’s success through the hands-on accounting support of a data driven organization in a fast paced and fun environment. This position will be based in our headquarters office in Santa Barbara, CA.
