Thank you for subscribing to our email list; we’re excited to welcome you to our 2016-2017 academic year. As you know, we’re kicking off the school year with a busy fall recruiting season. Stay updated via our website, Facebook and Instagram for the latest info on important dates and events.
 
Meet the Firms:
The largest recruiting event of the year is happening Friday, October 7 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Bacara Resort & Spa. (Please note: some promotional items misstated the time so please correct your calendar, if needed.)
 
Registration for Meet the Firms is now open on our Eventbrite website. Registration is $45 and includes membership to UAS. You must register online in order to attend the event. We will not accept any other form of registration.
 
Freshmen and Transfers:
Welcome to UCSB! We’ve updated our website to provide additional information for you. Be sure to take advantage of the Career Connection office in North Hall and join us for the UAS Kickoff Event on Wednesday, September 28. The best way to learn about UAS and the recruiting process is to jump in and ask questions. Good luck with move-in, we’ll see you soon!
 
Upcoming Events:
We’ve got a full schedule this fall, so please, follow our Google calendar on our Events page for the latest information. Be sure to mark your calendar for the following events:
·      Sept. 20--UCSB Economics Dept., Transfer Student Reception: 4 p.m., North Hall Courtyard
·      Sept. 28—UAS Kickoff Event: 5:30-8:30 p.m., Location TBA
·      Sept. 30--Resume and Cover Letter Critique: 3-5 p.m., SRB Multipurpose Room
·      October 4—Local Firm Panel
·      October 5—Mid-tier Firm Panel
·      October 6—Big Four Panel
·      October 7--Meet the Firms: 5-8 p.m., Bacara Resort and Spa.
 
Deadlines:
Pay attention to Gaucholink for information on how to submit applications for internships/full-time positions following Meet the Firms. Many firms close submissions on October 8 (That’s only one day after MTF!), but every firm is different. We will do our best to update you on deadlines, but it is ultimately YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check. Note: Some firms require an application submitted through their own online system. Check Gaucholink listings for more info.
