Please read the following message from Jaimie Jenks, Executive Director of Central Coast Freedom Network:
My name is Jaimie Jenks (class of ’03 and ’06), and I am reaching out to you because my nonprofit organization needs a new treasurer. This is a volunteer board officer position, which can be done remotely. We are an anti-human trafficking agency located in San Luis Obispo. Our mission is to mobilize the community to counter human trafficking. (https://www.centralcoastfreedomnetwork.org) The treasurer will be required to do our books in Quickbooks. We have a small budget ($50,000) and basic accounts. The estimated time commitment is between 5-7 hours per month. Our virtual board meetings are held on the 4th Monday of the month. Additionally, we want to start a finance committee and would ask our new treasurer to chair it. I am a firm believer in helping ambitious students build their skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to focus on nonprofit accounting and gain some leadership experience. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected].
