Does the idea of Networking scare you?
Do you get a stomach ache thinking about introducing yourself to a possible employer?

Join experienced hotelier, entrepreneur, CFO, and teacher, Bob Glock, to learn the importance of networking as
part of the job search process and how to network comfortably. He will discuss how, when and where to engage
in networking, suggest some tools of the trade, and how to follow up after networking conversations!

Students will learn to:

1. Define what networking is and identify why it is an important aspect of the job search
2. Learn about networking both in person and online
3. Formulate an effective elevator pitch
4. Understand how to use LinkedIn as a networking tool
5. Identify ways to make good impressions and strategies for following up
